(Just launched! Stay tuned for more!)

They have called us the "Sleeping Giant" for a long time. Now it's time for the Sleeping Giant to wake up and support an individual who cares for our Hispanic values, principles and heritage.  That individual is General Wesley K. Clark (ret.).

We are a Hispanic grassroots movement trying to convince former General Wesley Clark to run for for president in 2004.
General Wesley Clark will fight for our issues including:

• Promoting family values, and a strong sense of community
• Defending affirmative action and upholding American values of diversity, pluralism and meritocracy
• Providing better living conditions, healthcare, and educational opportunities for our Hispanic military families
• Ensuring equal access to educational and employment opportunities for all so we can strive for the American Dream
• Fostering immigration, while protecting the rights and celebrating the accomplishments of rural and migrant Hispanic workers
• Improving the welfare of our community by creating jobs and economic growth through a progressive tax system, fiscally responsible policies and small business development
• Strengthening education by providing teachers with the tools and resources they need to enable Hispanic students to excel

We believe it is time to inspire and empower our community to elect a candidate that will fight for us.  Hermanos y hermanas, help make this happen:

1. Send General Clark a letter, urging him to run
2. Donate to the Draft Wesley Clark movement
3. Join a local draftwesleyclark.com chapter
4. Buy a t-shirt, bumper sticker or baseball cap.
5. Pledge money to General Clark
6. Spread the word to familia, amigos y amigas, vecinos y vecinas, etc.

Pass this along to amigos y amigas and familia to encourage them to learn more about General Clark and get involved.  If you would like to join this effort, please contact Yosem Companys at [email protected] and (650) 838-9827; or Cassandra Flenker at [email protected] and (650) 283-9827.  Help us build the momentum, and we will turn this "draft" into a real candidacy.
